Freshworks was founded in October 2010 by GirishMathrubootham and Shan Krishnasamy. The company's headquarters are inSan Bruno , California , with international offices in India , the United Kingdom , Australia and Germany.

Financing


Freshworks has secured financing from Accel , Tiger Global Management , CapitalG and Sequoia Capital India. This funding has been used primarily for research and development to develop key products, create new products and for marketing campaigns.

Freshworks completed an initial $ 1 million Series A fundraiser from AccelPartners in November 2011 .

In April 2012, Tiger Global and Accel Partner invested $ 5 million in the Series B round to increase engineering talent and enable global expansion.

In November 2013, $ 7 million was invested by Accel Partners in Series C to enter the IT service management sector. 

In June 2014, Freshworks received $ 31 million in Series D funding from Tiger Global Management with Accel Partners and Google Capital to further develop customer support services.

In November 2016, Freshworks received $ 55 million for Accel Partners Sequoia Capital Indeet Series F. This allowed for the expansion of the entire product line, valuing the company at $ 700 million .

In July 2018, Freshworks earned $ 100 million in Series G from Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners, with the participation of CapitalG.
